BASILE ENDORSED BY ROCKLAND COUNTY PBA IN SENATE RACE

STONY POINT, NY– The Rockland County Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, the leading law enforcement union in Rockland County, has announced its endorsement of Tom Basile for State Senate in the 39th District to succeed Senator Bill Larkin.

The law enforcement union, which represents the men and women in all five towns in the county and several villages, as well as the Rockland County Sheriff's Office Patrol and Civil Divisions, backed Basile because of his proven unwavering support for members of the law enforcement community.

In announcing the group’s endorsement, Rockland County PBA President Larry Ayers stated, “Public safety in Rockland County is achieved by the men and women on patrol each and every day. Keeping the community safe is the paramount mission of our officers and their success depends on the tools, guidance, and most of all, support of our local leaders. Tom Basile understands the challenges that our officers face and what we need to do our job, in keeping the community safe. It is with great pleasure that we endorse Tom for the 39th Senate District seat.”

Basile, who serves as Councilman and Deputy Town Supervisor in Stony Point, expressed his appreciation to the PBA for its support and all that its members do to serve county residents on and off the job.

“It is an honor and privilege to have the support of the Rockland County PBA and its members. Our local law enforcement officers are the pride of our community. These brave men and women go to work and take great risks because they know everyone deserves to live on a safe street. They are driven by a passion for public service. I’ll bring that same commitment and drive to the State Senate, fighting for our communities to ensure that our area residents are the priority for our government, not just New York City. I look forward to working with them to ensure we continue to improve the quality of life for everyone in our area,” said Basile, who is running on the Republican, Conservative and Independence lines in November.

Basile previously secured the endorsements of Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, the PBAs of New York State, the Orange County Shields and the Orange County Deputy Sheriffs’ PBA.
